Dead Space remake story and setting

The Dead Space remake is set in the year 2508. Humanity has exhausted all of Earth’s natural resources, forcing humans to search space for new materials. In order to gather these resources, ships like the USG Ishimura are designed to mine planets – in other words, mine other planets for their resources.
In the Dead Space remake, ship system engineer and specialist Isaac Clarke accompanies USG Ishimura in order to carry out repairs, only to make a horrific discovery. The ship’s crew has been massacred by an alien cataclysm, and Isaac’s partner Nicole is somewhere on board. Isaac must rely on his engineering skills and tools to uncover exactly what happened on USG Ishimura.
Dead Space series game
The Dead Space version aims to recreate the intense, unnerving third-person horror action that the original film was known for. The space station’s narrow, claustrophobic corridors can house all kinds of bad guys, known as Necromorphs. Fortunately, the best way to stop these stick devils will still be to amputate their limbs with a Plasma Cutter (after peeling of their skin). Additional weapons should protect these hostile creatures as well.
Another tool in Isaac’s arsenal is the environment itself. The Dead Space series has always encouraged players to use explosive charges, airlocks, and other improvised means to turn the tide against encroaching enemy creatures. Especially when ammo is always considered scarce. Just don’t forget to shove your foot through the head of any fallen enemies, or risk them coming back to haunt you later.
